Hello, world
This is my first time writing a blog post. I thought I'd share my reasons for writing in public.
Until recently, my internet persona has been very private. I have been hiding from Big Tech and its performative, monetized and addictive platforms. The internet can sometimes feel like a lot of walled gardens where everybody wants something from you. Somehow, the business model of it all is broken, and it makes me feel like an internet refugee who has had to retreat into the dark forest.
But I have missed what makes the internet such a powerful technology: its ability to connect dots that weren't connected before, accessible to most. I miss the internet of old that felt real and imperfect yet beautiful; it was a small web with a human at the center.
But these human oases still exist . You recognize them by the honest people behind them and the transparent and human-friendly technology they are using. I would like to contribute to one of these oases by not only being a consumer but also a creator. I want to share my ideas and see if they connect with other people. Maybe I'm not alone? I hope that in the process of writing, I will also figure out what I have to say.
